ShowDays Puppies
Code of Ethics
for breeders
In order to advertise Puppies (or adult dogs) on the ShowDays Puppies website, you must agree to the following conditions and statements of ethics:
  1. The breeder must be a member of a recognized Dog Club - an AKC national or Regional breed club, an AKC all-breed club, or a similar UKC club. For non-AKC breeds, you must be a member of the parent breed registry club.
  2. All puppies advertised must be registerable - either with the AKC, UKC, or IABCA. (At this time, those are the only registries we recognize.)
  3. At least one of the parents (sire and/or dam) of the litter must be a conformation champion, or have a performance title.
  4. You must do health screenings for the parents and the puppies, as appropriate for your breed. Health screenings will be listed in the ad, and any challenges from other breeders or prospective puppy buyers about failure to include an important health clearance will cause the ad to be investigated, and possibly withheld.
  5. No puppies to be purchased by or sold to Agents and/or Wholesalers.
There might be exceptions under special circumstances with a written explanation, if deemed acceptable.
Please suggest other points that should be added to the Code of Ethics.

Please let us know when your puppies or adults are placed, so we can remove your listing.
